On Saturday, it rained. After lazing about the hotel room we went to the Winchester Mystery House. This beautiful mansion was designed by the Winchester widow, it’s said, to appease the spirits of those killed by Winchester rifles.
On Sunday, we purposefully took the scenic route and stopped at the Mystery Spot. The Mystery Spot is strange place outside of Santa Cruz where gravity and magnetism are just a little bit wacky. On the way home, Georgia actually ate over half a jar of baby food. It was a first for her.

On Friday, we drove to San Jose to see my friend Carrie get hitched. We got moved to a private chapel to view the wedding when Georgia started screaming during the first reading. I accidentally took the scenic route and we arrived with only 5 minutes to spare. Both the wedding and the reception were lovely. Carrie new husband wrote a mystery novel. I can’t wait to read it.

Yesterday, Gigi parroted “Bye” and waved at the Macy’s salesgirls after we finished shopping. Gigi is now waving pretty consistently and parrots back “Bye.” and “Hey.”
We took a spur-of-the-moment trip to Disneyland on Sunday. We met the Knauffs, who needed to break up their car drive from San Diego. There are more photos on Flickr.
