I have finally created a DVD version of my short film, Canned Ham. The picture above is what the DVD menu looks like. I am very pleased with myself. I remastered the whole film using the best elements I had available, and now it is preserved on a little silver disk for all eternity. Or until my cat pees on it. (My evil cat peed on my CD archive once and it took the silver right off the plastic.) Anyway, I trimmed a couple of shots, “color timed” the black and white picture, and redid all the titles digitally. Now I know why George Lucas invented the phrase “Special Edition”. If I ever do this again, I’ll redo the Spam animation digitally and add Jabba the Hutt into my movie for no reason.

Those of you who have not seen my car in a while may not be aware that it is now equipped with stealth mode. This may be one of the reasons you have not seen my car in a while.

We went to see Lilo and Stitch one last time at the El Capitan in Hollywood last night. Next weekend, the Country Bears take over. I know that we’re going to end up seeing that movie, but I do have one prediction: at least one critic will use the phrase “bearly entertaining” in their review.
