We drove up into the mountains to go sledding. This was Catie’s first time in real snow.
It’s not too cold to make funny faces.
Snowballs!
Tongue tricks!
Tube sleds are the best!
Gigi was very excited!
Cold!
Ready for the hill!
You know, for kids!

We took the girls ice skating last weekend, so the girls got to wear winter hats. (And Cate somehow got a hold of a binky, which she does not normally use.)
Gigi was ready to go and eager to hear our instructions.
Catie got the hang of it first.
Gigi really enjoyed her first ice skating trip once she got the hang of it.
Little Stephanie is the only one of us who is actually good at ice skating. She was also the only one to sustain an injury on our trip. (Sorry about the broken wrist, Steph.) Stephanie and I both decided to do one last lap without the children, and it was the clumsiest, least graceful skating we did.
Beware of Herrmans with blades on their feet.
Catie, cold and exhausted, contemplates sleep.
Zamboni.
This trip was Georgia’s first look at snow. We heard a new “cold” noise from her (something like “Bwoooah!”) and she seemed a bit confused by the frosty weather. I was excited to get some pictures of her in the snow, but except for some falling snowflakes, we didn’t make her touch it. (In other words, there was no tummy time nor snow angels on this outing.)
