We tried the new pirate play park in Pasadena today. It’s officially called Reese’s Retreat, and it officially gets the Herrman Kid Stamp of Approval.
Gigi inspects the cannonballs.
Catie feeds the sea monster.
Pictured: the tip of a cannon, the plank, and circling sharks. Seriously, what more could you ask for in a play park?
The ship in all her glory.
The most luxurious swing ever. (Also appropriate for the handicapped and small children.)
Catie loved riding on this fish. I started out trying to convince her it was a dolphin but, looking at the tail, it may actually just be a fish.
Anyway, if you’re in Pasadena it’s worth checking out. Swords and eye patches are optional.
In February, we all went to Vegas. While Steph was at a Pilates conference, I took the girls on a little weekend Vegas adventure. First, we trashed the hotel room.
Here we are eating ice cream for lunch. We won these stuffed animals, too.
We were very excited to see the lions at MGM.
By mid afternoon, the girls were pretty worn out. Here, Gigi sleeps in the car while I eat an In-N-Out burger.
We saw pirate ships at Treasure Island. (We did not see the sexy lady show that apparently happens in the evening.)
This is the Year of the Rabbit display at the Bellagio.
This is an awesome sparkly horse.
We caught parts of the fountain show at the Bellagio, and found our own fun running around this smaller fountain.
I’m not sure exactly where we are here, but I do know that sleeping on the floor is not encouraged.
There were some pirates on the studio lot this week. You can probably guess why. I took a couple of photos while I was walking by, but I really hope they’re not the only pirates I see this week. This may come as a surprise, but sometimes the baby makes it hard to get out and see new movies.
